3D Maps Production

My work was related to the development of 3D mapping databases, which is a matter of increasing interest. Databases have recently been developed at different scales (national, European, international) in order to fit different needs. Such development has been made possible by the implementation of efficient 3D mapping technologies. The context of this study was related to the production of 3D digital databases from heterogeneous data.

Heterogeneous data collected in the 5th district in Paris, next to the Pantheon. Illustration of the role and level of representation of the three merged 3D data. We start from an accurate (1 to 5 cm) for data representing the remarkable buildings. We go to a medium resolution (10 to 20 cm) for the representation of streets and end up a less fine (0.5 to 1 m) across the city.
